Wired 1D barcode readers are the best known and most used scanners both due to the fact that they are simple to install, but also easy to use, being used especially in large shopping centers. The readers scan a wide variety of 1D (linear) barcodes, they are "gun" shaped: the user points the scanner towards the barcode and activates the trigger for capture, but there is also the option "ring", where the scanner is attached to the operator's hand, so that he can use both hands for current activities.
